Dr. Lakshmi Pal, President

Dr. Lakshmi Pal, MBBS,DCH is one of the founding members and of Heal India and is involved with the Trust on a full time basis. She did her Diploma in Child Health from the prestigious Kalawati Saran Children Hospital, New Delhi, India.  She attends to all the diagnostic and palliative needs of all the pediatric patients at the camps. She even provides education to the children and their families on good health practices.

 

Dr. R.S. Pal, Vice President

An Ophthalmologist by profession, Dr. R.S. Pal has been a member of Heal India from the time of its inception. He has vast experience in the field of Ophthalmology as Physician and Surgeon, and to his credit, has done approximately 2 lakh cataract surgeries while working with Employees State Insurance (ESI) Corporation, a Central Government organization of India. His decades of surgical and social work experience are an integral element of the Health Camps conducted by Heal India, especially when dealing with patients with various eye problems/diseases. 

 

Dr. P.S. Aman, Trustee & Director of Programmes 

Dr. Aman, is a young dynamic member of Heal India. He has specialized in Ayurveda and has a BAMS degree from Kanpur and MD(AM) from Delhi. He has his own private practice in West Delhi and he allocates most of his free time to Heal India.

 

Mr. Anuj Kumar Bhargava, Secretary & Chairman of Social Impact Committee
Mr. Bhargava has been associated with Heal India from the time of its inception. He is a valuable member who volunteers in a variety of roles in the Health Camps. He has recently retired from Indian Meteorological Department and is now volunteering full time with Heal India.

 

Ms. Urvashi Arora, Treasurer & Member of the Social Impact Committee

Ms. Arora, too, has been associated with Heal India from its inception, although from a distance. Ms. Arora resides in New York, USA and is very involved with many strategic as well as administrative aspects of the Trust.  From advising on the nature and venues of the camps to assisting with technological needs (e.g. website, etc.) to fundraising activities, Ms. Arora wears many hats. She has a Masters degree in Psychology and works in the healthcare field of human subjects’ research/clinical trials for the last 8 years.
 

Mr. Sidhartha Verma, Active Volunteer
Although he joined Heal India only a year ago, Mr. Verma has already carved an important place for himself in all of the ongoing activities of the Trust. Though young, he has a vast and varied experience of working with a variety of NGOs in India.

 

Executive Members:

 

Dr. Neelima Kapoor
Dr. Neelima Kapoor is a Gynecologist (MD) by profession.  Like Dr. R.S. Pal, Dr. Kapoor also worked at ESI for several years and retired in 2010 as Head of the Gynecological Department. Since her retirement, she is actively associated with Heal India. All patients attending the camp with gynecological issues immensely benefit from the expertise of Dr. Kapoor. She also provides various talks/lectures on good gynecological practices/health to the patients.

 

Mrs. Poonam Bhargava
Mrs. Bhargava is a dedicated member who attends the camps on a regular and consistent basis.

 

Ms. Chitra Viswanath, Purchase Committee Member
Ms. Vishwanath comes to Heal India with vast experience in business processes and integration and an education in Leadership and Strategic Management.
